Mike from Korea
I’m Mike, and I’ve called Korea home for over 30 years. On my YouTube channel, I share my experiences in and knowledge of Korea, diving into the food, the history, and the culture. You can see Korea through my lens, visit my favorite locales, and discover hidden gems off of the tourist tracks.
The story doesn’t end on YouTube. For each video, there’s a wealth of knowledge waiting to be shared—insights that didn’t make the cut or revelations that emerged post-production. This website is your portal to that extended universe. Here you’ll find deeper dives into some of the topics, related resources, more personal anecdotes, and nuggets of information that enrich the narrative.
As I add new content, you’ll find links back here in the descriptions of my videos. You can also visit the What’s New page to keep up with the latest additions and revisions. I aim to stay current so that the information you read here is as timely and accurate as I can make it.
This site is more than just an information hub; it’s a conversation. Having lived in Korea for over half my life, I’ve gathered a trove of experiences and insights. But there’s always more to learn and share. Your ideas and suggestions for new content are invaluable whether they tie into my videos or not. Don’t hesitate to email me at mike@mikefromkorea.com to let me know what you’d like to see here.
You’re also welcome to send questions about Korea to qna@mikefromkorea.com. Want to know what it’s like to live here? Looking for advice on a travel itinerary? Curious about specific periods or events in Korean history? I’ll do what I can to find answers and reply. When I’ve accumulated enough questions for a Q & A video, I’ll publish one to the channel.
Thanks for stopping by!
